I also made some updates on my [Old Web onramps](/blog/the-old-web/#onramps-to-the-old-web) because some of the links are now dead. It's incredible that six of the links are now dead and another handful are questionable for one reason or another. That seems like a lot, especially considering I just put this list together a few months ago. This is one aspect of the old way that I had forgotten: links die. That's not a problem when search has made linking across sites obsolete, but when links are the way you get around, it's a big deal.
As part of researching the Old Web, I also collected a bunch of ["on-ramps"](/blog/the-old-web#onramps-to-the-old-web) that will help you start exploring the Old Web for yourself. If you were around in the 90s and early 2000s, you'll find it familiar. If not, you're in for a treat.
