I'm a web developer, a parent, a geek, and a weirdo… but I'm OK with all that. I try to min-max life, but I don't always dump my points into the right stats.

I just put together [some quick thoughts on several games I've tried over the last few weeks](/blog/rapid-fire-game-reviews-holiday-2022). Let me know [on Mastodon](https://techhub.social/@RadDevon){rel="me"} if you've tried any of these or if you have a recommendation of another game I should try.

I also made some updates on my [Old Web onramps](/blog/the-old-web/#onramps-to-the-old-web) because some of the links are now dead. It's incredible that six of the links are now dead and another handful are questionable for one reason or another. That seems like a lot, especially considering I just put this list together a few months ago. This is one aspect of the old way that I had forgotten: links die. That's not a problem when search has made linking across sites obsolete, but when links are the way you get around, it's a big deal.

Nothing new added though. Send me anything I've missed!

One reason I _am_ a web developer is because of a game I played back when I was a teenager. I was thinking recently about how not only it has impacted me but gaming as a whole. I reckoned it had impacted it _so_ much, I was willing to declare it [the most influential game of all time](/blog/the-most-influential-game-in-history). I think I made a good case for it, but feel free to yell into the void if you disagree.
